UC’s Pre-Health Internship Program provides a path for undergraduate students who are interested in the health professions and who plan to attend graduate school in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physician assistantship or podiatry.
Pre-health courses and internships can help you explore this varied field and gain real-world experience that can make you more competitive for graduate school and full-time jobs. All graduate school applications require meaningful pre-health experiences.
In addition to meeting regularly with your pre-professional advisor, the Pre-Professional Advising Center recommends the following pathway for pre-health students:
- Take Exploring Health Professions (PD1000)
- Complete the Internship for Academic Credit course (INT 3041)
- Take Advancing Success on the Pre-Health Pathway (PD2001)
