Career fairs offer a time and place for job-seekers and recruiters to meet each other. UC hosts a number of career fairs every year. To find upcoming career fairs, log into your Handshake account, go to "Events," and choose "Fair Search."

The Fall and Spring Career Fairs are your opportunity to meet with employers who are eager to fill full-time, co-op, and internship positions with candidates like you. About 170 employers attend the fair each day. Students can talk directly with company representatives about the organization's work, culture, and hiring needs.

Professional Day (Wednesday) focuses on jobs for students in Business and Arts & Sciences. Technical Day (Thursday) focuses on jobs in Engineering, Applied Sciences and Information Technology (IT). On Friday, recruiters interview their top candidates from the fair.

Teaching and counseling students and alumni seeking full-time employment are invited to attend the Southwest Ohio/Northern Kentucky Education Career Fair in the Cintas Center at Xavier University. Candidates should dress professionally and be prepared to speak with school district recruiters regarding employment opportunities.

The fair is presented jointly by Xavier University, Antioch University Midwest, Cincinnati Christian University, Mount St. Joseph University, Northern Kentucky University, the University of Cincinnati, and Wilmington College.

If you are interested in a particular company or organization, check their website once a month or even once a week for job postings. If you can, sign up for job alerts so that you receive notification when a job is posted that matches your interests.

Job aggregators pull together job listings from many sources into one searchable location. Some examples are Ohio Means Jobs, Indeed.com, Monster.com, and Glassdoor. Searching aggregators can be a way to quickly scan for jobs that match your interests. If you find a job you might want to apply for, look for the job posting on the company’s own site and apply there.

LinkedIn is a professional networking site that lets you "manage your professional identity, build and engage with your professional network, and access knowledge, insights and opportunities."
