Awards

The Office of Undergraduate Research recognizes and celebrates the achievements of undergraduate researchers and their mentors with a number of awards.

Presented to three outstanding research advisor-student pairs affiliated with ReCON in December and April. To be considered for an award, apply by November 21 using this form.

Presented at a luncheon hosted by the Division of Experience-Based Learning and Career Education in April. Only ReCON members are eligible. Nominations are due March 5. Nominate a student using this form.

  • Outstanding Performance in Undergraduate Research in the Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences
  • Outstanding Performance in Undergraduate Research in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math

The President of ReCON recognizes one member for outstanding service at the Undergraduate Scholarly Showcase. Only ReCON members are eligible. Nominations are due March 15. Nominate someone using this form.

For Students

  • The Top 25 Award recognizes the 25 poster presenters who receive the highest scores and most glowing feedback
  • The Top Three Award recognizes the three slide show presenters who receive the highest scores and most glowing feedback

For Faculty

  • Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring in the Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences
  • Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math

Students may request up to $500 to help cover the cost of travel to present their research at a professional conference. ReCON members receive priority consideration. To apply for a travel award, use this form.
